Today, the AFC Asian Cup™ has found its place in the hearts and minds of hundreds of millions of
passionate fans, so on behalf of the Asian football family, let me convey our gratitude to all of
you for your dedication and commitment to the promotion of the Asian game.

As the first edition to be held at FIFA World Cup venues, the 18th edition of the Continent’s most
prestigious men’s tournament will once again enter new frontiers and we look forward to your
unwavering support as we extend and strengthen its storied legacy.
